Finally, Amazon and Flipkart's Festive Season Sale Started

Amazon and Flipkart are two famous e-commerce websites that are widely used across India, specially in the festive season. They offer big discounts, however they also need to monitor proper delivery of products as many people get scammed from multiple sellers. We will discuss that in a separate post

For quite long both these sites were offering discounts in their annual sale, but at the wrong time. I am not sure who was heading this plan or the India business that they weren't aligned with the festive season's shopping preferences. Instead, they were launching their sales in the Shradh time (Pitru Paksha) when we don't buy new items. This two-week period, also called Pitru Paksha, is dedicated to performing rituals, offering food, and remembering ancestors for their blessings and peace.

I wrote about this issue earlier in 2021 when Amazon announced the same and followed by Flipkart as they were doing it multiple times. Companies need to understand the culture of the country, where they intend to grow their business instead of randomly doing anything as per few head of the departments. 

This year they have announced few better deals in the sale like iPhone 16 and Pro models are part of it at much lesser cost than the previous year's offer of iPhone 15. However, there are few surprises as well like nothing for Samsung's customers who were waiting for S25 deals but instead got the news of S24 with Snapdragon 3, which was never offered in initial days of launch here. 

Amazon & Flipkart needs to understand that the discounts are not enough to keep up the customer's expectations. They also need to have proper description, product delivery, and service. Now, they have updated many products to be replaced by service centers but why one would like to visit there if we are purchasing online. If that would have been the case then we would have joined other people who wish to visit offline stores for any purchase.
