Did you actually buy anything in "The Big Billion Days Sale"?

StumbleUpon

Flipkart is another giant player in the Indian e-commerce, and along with Myntra (Specially for clothing), it is way ahead than Amazon when we talk about "The Clothing Sale". Everyyear, people wait a lot for this sale to spend their savings in the right way. This year they got a chance to save their savings, as you know from the previous post, the sale started early this year than expected or you can say in an unexpected time.

Yesterday, the Big Billion Days Sale ended on Flipkart along with the stock of iPhone 12.  Though Flipkart claims to be breaking the records in the sale, I did not notice much craze this year. One reason I already shared here at the beginning of the sale and another one to not find much crazy deals as compared to previous years, other than an iPhone.

Every year,  I see a lot of discounted items on Flipkart & Amazon but this year didn't notice much items which could be because of less number of days to shop for the interested people. I am also mentioning the sale dates or might have a dedicated post for it to track last 5-10 years of data. Once you have the data, then you can analyze the upcoming date as per your understanding. For sure, I am not giving a Data Analyst training here :)

3rd October to 10 October in 2021 (Started a day early for Plus Members).

The major attraction of the sale was huge discount on iPhone 12 (I was tracking mini which started from 34-35k for a 64 GB Model and went upto 51-53k for the 256 GB Model). The prices are based on various cash back schemes as launched for few days among the entire sale tenure.

I hardly know few people who actually utilize the sale time or may be people have lost their interest in all items being listed without trusted sellers or less reliability of the e-commerce platform. These days people are finding it hard to get their desired things as expected and when it's time to return then again they have to chase a lot with unanswered emails or non-satisfactory calls with customer care.

Last year, I also ordered a pair of F&D speakers which were brand new in look but were not working at all. I had to escalate a lot (Again a lot of pain in doing R&D for their hierarchy which should be easy to find for the customers).

On top of that, when I submitted my review it wasn't approved as I listed the speakers were asking inappropriate permissions on my phone to access the contact list. Why it needs to have access for my contact list? I will share another post for that here on either of my Tech Blogs.

For all these experiences, and not considering the actual shopping time of India by these portals make me thing if did you buy anything? Or now is the time to buy stuff when long weekends are around, we can actually go to the market, see the product and get if after our satisfaction.
